The property was at a good location near the beach and boardwalk. It was clean and had a nice layout. We loved the large front porch. However, one of the beds was broken (we had to use books to keep the box spring from falling off the frame (even after a maintenance worker used a block of wood under another section of the frame). In the same bedroom the closet is off the track and the ceiling fan only worked on low speed. Of lesser importance, several dresser drawers were broken and two parking spaces were listed with the house, but we were not able to use the garage (one of the spaces) due to several bicycles and items being stored there. We would have loved to rebook this property but with the amount of broken items, we chose to find another place next year.

The rental was disappointing at best. The carpets needed to be cleaned, the tub couldn’t be filled, the refrigerator had dark marks on it and an inside drawer was broken with duct tape on it. Dining room chairs had cracked plastic covers with one with duct tape over the crack. All appliances were very old and loud. One lampshade had several bite marks on it. There were any traps in every bedroom. The smoke alarm went off twice with no reason. I called Sheila the day we arrived with complaints. The only thing fixed was she brought a kitchen trash can and asked the owner not to allow her family on the roof deck above us ( they were noisy at 10:30 PM)

The lease advertised a roof top deck, however, there was no access to it. The first floor only had access to it. The dining room furniture needs major updating. The toilet seats should be replaced.

My Family and I rented 1553 Asbury Ave. When we showed up to the rental we had access to the rooftop, however within hours a pad lock was put on the door access to the rooftop.

With enough space to accommodate up to 9 guests, this property is perfect for families or groups of friends looking for a relaxing beach vacation. The spacious living room area features comfortable seating, a large flat-screen TV, and plenty of natural light. Next to the living room is the dining area, where guests can enjoy their meals together at the large dining table.
