I enjoyed unit 31 over the Winter. I would rent it again. Some possible improvements might be the closet door, the dishwasher, the emergency exit door (sticks), and new carpet.

For the rental price one would hope to have everything in working order. Second year in a row the blinds in the bedroom were missing slats. Not fun to dress at night with lights on and disappointed could not open front windows. Signs said do not open. Cranks are stripped.

We had a number of small issues with the unit: 3 of 5 windows were broken and wouldn’t open, the air vents looked black and filthy, the parking spots are incredibly tight, and the floors needed another round of mopping when we checked in - but none of these really detracted enough to ruin our trip.
The real reason we are giving this three stars is that it's NOT a true two bedroom - it's a one bedroom with a wall and a pocket door put up in the middle. This is both by my understanding of the legal definition of a bedroom (one has no closet, the other no window), but more importantly from a practical point of view: you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the door for the other bedroom. Which means if you’re sharing this with other adult(s), as we were, especially if one is a light sleeper, you will have little privacy in the second bedroom.
That aside, the location is tough to beat. Oceanfront, with the main boardwalk being a short walk away without being in the thick of it, its an ideal location and rental for a family with one or two younger children that doesn’t mind sacrificing space for location. We just wish we had known the setup before renting with another adult.

Spectacular view from Ocean 17 unit 31 just really don't understand though "oddities" of some of the units - for example in this case the bedroom with a queen bed does not have it's own door, have to walk through the room with twin beds...otherwise love this unit. Sure wish that could be fixed.

A great job has been done upgrading #31 over the past six years. Minor problem for me is the queen size bed with the big wooden footboard. Bed is against the wall and difficult to make up. All else is good.

Our unit had some minor but annoying problems, like a broken cable box and a chair with a loose leg. Linda was very helpful. The owners of Unit 31 at Ocean 17 should consider buying less fragile blinds; the ones they have fall down on your head at the slightest touch.

Loved Unit 31 in Ocean's 17 Condos. We've stayed in the condos before, but this unit was much better. Loved the view and upgraded living space/kitchen. We will definitely be back. I'd be interested in photos of the other units that face the beach. Our only complaint were the older squeaky beds in 31. They need to be replaced. Not very comfortable. But otherwise, an awesome time. Thank you again!

"Met expectation" means that I've been renting from Berger for over 20 years and I know what I'm getting. Linda has been great. The unit we stayed in (Ocean 17 Unit 31) could use better beds, but otherwise was fine.

It would be great to be able to rate the rental units. We had a lovely view -- and the absolutely worst beds I've ever slept in at Ocean 17. And I've been staying there since it opened in 1970.
