This is the second year renting this property and unfortunately we won’t be renting here again. Last year we let the owners know a few things that needed to be taken care of via a review after our stay. Unfortunately not only were they not fixed, but we also had new issues this year. The one toilet seat was cracked so bad that you couldn’t even sit on it, only scalding hot water and a broken hose at the outside shower. The bed in the primary was so loud and uncomfortable I had to bunk up with my daughter by day 2. Maintenance came and fixed the toilet and the shower but that was hours out of our day we had to be at the house for him to work. We also realized that the high hats in the living room and the outside lights didn’t work but didn’t want to waste another day on maintenance fixing them. Also whoever is cleaning is not that great, we left the property cleaner than we got it. 2 of the 4 tvs aren’t hooked up to any sort of cable. We brought our own Roku for the living room tv remembering this from last year. This house has potential but the list of little things that are wrong just keeps getting bigger. Most can be overlooked but when we saw they raised rates for next year we were not going to spend that kind of money on a sub par rental.

A couple notes for the property owner: I don’t think anyone cleaned between renters. The fridge was dirty, food was left in the cabinets and the floor was covered in sand and hair. I have pictures if needed. The shower in the primary bathroom did not get hot at all. We all showered in the other bathroom. Also the mattress in the primary was unbelievably uncomfortable and squeaky. All the other beds were great. It rained heavily while we were there and water was pouring from the lights on the deck awning. Also they have a leak in the pipe to the outdoor shower. It sprays water everywhere. Besides these small issues, the property was great and we plan on renting again next summer. These are just things that I would want someone to tell me if I was the owner. Tara was great in handling a wrong key issue when we got there and we enjoyed working with her.
