Top 5 Areas to Rent Vacation Homes in Ocean City

Top 5 Areas to Rent Vacation Homes in Ocean City

Ocean City NJ is known for its idyllic vacation atmosphere, but did you know it has five distinct neighborhoods? Ocean City rentals span the entire island, so you'll have your choice of neighborhood. Here, we'll show you the differences between each of the areas and tell you what they have to offer so you can choose a vacation rental in the neighborhood that's perfect for you.

Gardens

The Gardens neighborhood spans the northern tip of the island. It begins at Longport Bridge and spans all the way to North Street and is surrounded by water on three sides. The Gardens is ideal for families and couples looking for a serene, relaxing getaway. Rentals in this region are mostly single family homes, so they're perfect if you're looking for a quiet, private escape. Tree lined streets are perfect for strolls with children and pets.

North End

Ocean City's North End neighborhood spans North Street to 6th Street. If you're looking to stay in the heart of Ocean City, North End is the neighborhood to consider. On the North End, we're steps away from the beach and the boardwalk. You can walk to Memorial Park for pony rides and the farmer's market, as well as Asbury Avenue to shop. This region boasts all kinds of rentals, from apartments to duplexes to single family homes, so renters are sure to find a rental that suits their needs on the North End.

Bay Area

On the northside of Ocean City, the Bay Area is nestled up against the bay. The Bay Area neighborhood runs along the west side of Bay Avenue and ends at North and 16th Streets. If you like water sports, the Bay Area is the place to rent. The Bay Area's ample waterfront means that there are many opportunities to stay directly on the water. Boat slips, docks, sailing and jet skiing are favorite activities for those staying in the Bay Area. The bay is even a favorite location for wading and swimming out to sand bars.

Central

Central Ocean City spans the width of the island and is bordered by 6th and 18th Streets. The Central neighborhood is the busiest and most bustling neighborhood in Ocean City and boasts ample shopping and dining. You can spend the day searching for boutique treasures in our shops and then stop at a restaurant or cafe for a bite to eat. If you're looking to spend your vacation in a quaint town, the Central neighborhood is for you.

South End

Though farther away from the heart of Ocean City activity, the South End offers some more affordable places to rent, and is perfect for anyone looking for the quieter side of town. This means less populated beaches and more space for yourself. Close to Strathmere and Sea Isle, there’s still plenty to do on the South End of Ocean City.

Goldcoast

The east side of Ocean City is home to the Goldcoast neighborhood. If you love the beach, the Goldcoast's ample coastline is the perfect place to vacation. Sit back by the beach and admire the view from your rental, whether it's a single family home or a waterfront condo.
