5253 is a basic shore house. Nothing fancy but the kitchen is well equipped. Location is good for us. Owners have over the last 4 years proven themselves realistic by not raising rates every year and we try and treat the property as our own with respect. Will see what next year brings.

Our rental was basic and functional. Kitchen cookware was above average and bathrooms were redone. The owners of the upstairs were considerate and hopefully they felt the same about us. The ice maker was below average for the size of the fridge.

Had trouble with the freezer and ice maker but Berger and the owner responded as best as possible. The freezer never worked the way it should the time we were there but it functioned within minimum limits. We had to buy bags of ice in order to have ice but the freezer kept our food cold enough that no spoilage occurred. Both Jeff and Ted, the owner, tried their best so that's the only thing you could ask of the situation. The weather was great and overall we had a pleasant time.
